When in you’re in a strange place, far from home sometimes it can be super difficult to calm your nerves and get comfortable. Whether that’s visiting family or friends, or in a remote hotel room, or even out under the stars, there’s no place quite like home – or your own bed. Unfortunately, you can’t always be there.
The BST-100 Sound Oasis Bluetooth Sound Therapy System (what a mouthful) is essentially a wireless and portable Bluetooth speaker. You can connect your smartphone or media player via Bluetooth and play music, stream radio, or even media content.
What makes it unique is it includes 10 built-in sounds that are designed to soothe you to sleep. Think, nature sounds, water running, waves, rain, crickets chirping and much more. It helps bigtime if you’re staying somewhere that’s either too quiet or too noisy like off a busy highway. You can crank up the soothing sounds and drown out anything you don’t want to hear.
It includes a built-in rechargeable battery so you can use it anywhere, even if there are no power outlets. You get a USB charging cable with the speaker, so you can plug it into a computer or laptop, or USB power adapter. You don’t have to supply power that’s what the battery is for, but the option is there if you want it. When you need the speaker to last longer, it’s a welcome feature.
Bluetooth range is up to 30 feet away, or 10 meters. There’s plenty of bass for added kicked to your tunes if you’re listening to something with decent bass. Furthermore, there are physical buttons on the bottom of the speaker including next, previous, play, and volume controls.
The only downside to this portable Bluetooth speaker is there’s no automatic shut-off. It would be nice to leave it playing for a designated time, after which it powers down automatically once you’ve fallen asleep. Even without that, it’s still an excellent speaker.
