The Steamfast is a mini steam iron that can be used to remove the wrinkles from your packed clothes and gear when you travel.

The problem is that not all hotels are created equal. You may not be able to find an iron or steamer in your room, which could leave you wrinkled and, well, not looking as well-kempt as you should. In Europe and Asia, for instance, it can be tough to get your hands on a steam iron.

The Steamfast Home-and-Away Mini Steam Iron is one of the smallest portable irons you can find. It measures a mere 5.2 by 3 by 3.1 inches and weighs 1.4 ounces. If you’re counting, that’s only slightly bigger than the average hand or palm. It’s small enough to stow away in your luggage or carry-on bag, which is great news if you’re flying somewhere.

It’s a 420-watt mini steam iron that can be easily filled and heats up quickly when you’re ready to use it, in less than 15 seconds actually. Several reviewers have praised the speed at which it heats up, claiming it’s better than even some full-size irons.

For easier carry, the mini iron comes with a travel bag and plastic measuring cup that you can use to fill the water compartment with. Additional features include a one-touch steam control system, four bottom-mounted steam outlets, a heat indicator light that will let you know when it’s ready for use, and multiple modes: dry or steam. You can use it to freshen up anything from shirts and blouses to table linens and quilts.

You will not find an auto shut off feature, which means you must always remove the power plug from the wall socket when you’re finished. If something goes wrong, though, it has a 1-year limited warranty through the manufacturer which is always a plus.
